I’m scheduled to shoot a little gal’s birthday party this weekend, complete with candy, princesses and tutus. I’m super stoked and pulled a few images that are inspiring me! Enjoy!
JD signed ‘more’ tonight at dinner… VERY exciting!
As I dropped off JD at school today, he was clingy. He was just in a mood and wanted me and me alone. He started to cry as I tried to run out. He’s done it a couple of times, but it never gets any easier for me. I’m sure he was fine as soon as I left, but it still makes me feel that guilt that I hate feeling … the same guilt that makes me call it ‘school’ because I feel like it sounds better than daycare.
So I read a very inspiring article in this month’s Parents Magazine written by a working mother who runs. Nothing fancy, no expensive gym membership, she just runs. And the motivation, stress relief and comfort she gets from her 3 or 4 time a week runs was so inspiring! So I went out, bought some Sauconys and broke them in tonight. They’re actually awesome running shoes. They felt great! And more importantly, I acutally enjoyed the sweat and exhaustion that came with the workout. I vowed tonight that this will be a new ‘hobby’ if I dare call it that.
And by vent, I don’t mean whine about the things wrong in the world. I mean shout from the roof (or in this case, the world wide web) the random, spontaneous, crazy, beautiful, stressful and off the wall thoughts that run through my head.
So here goes …
Have you read anything by John Rosemond? He’s a child psychologist and freaking amazing if you ask me. I’m reading a couple of his books right now and highly recommend them to any moms, wannabe moms, or single gals who may one day be a mom. I’m reading Making the Terrible Twos Terriffic, as I believe my one year old is quickly moving into this ‘tantrum’ stage. Anyways, lots of great tips and a philosophy that I believe in 100 percent!
I’m doing more and more photography in my free time … yeah right … free time. With a few friends expecting, I’ve got some maternity shots to do, to then be followed by newbie shots! I can’t wait! Not to mention my son JD’s shots … he’s harder to catch than when he just laid there as a baby
Be on the look out for some samples!
